Spring Has Sprung
Our first spring at Thistle House has arrived and we are excited. As we watch the flowers and trees, that were planted by
previous owners, bud and bloom around us, we are in the process of planting, seeding and cleaning up after the winter and
early year wind storms.
While writing this, the day after Easter, we note that the temperature is 50 degrees outside
and we are still wearing jackets and sweatshirts. However, that does not deter our enthusiasm! We have daffodils (from our
yard) in a vase on the dining room table that last night's guests enjoyed at breakfast this morning and bulbs in a bag
in our kitchen waiting to be planted.
We have revamped the herb garden and are adding a few items that we are looking
forward to using--fresh--with our memorable breakfasts.
Thistle House was beautiful in the autumn with the trees in all
colors. You don't have to imagine what the spring will be like...make a reservation and see for yourself.

Thank you for your prayers
To all our friends and family we wish there were the right words to express the gratitude and love that we
feel for all of your best wishes, prayers and support upon learning of Phyllis' diagnosis. We can't begin to tell
you what it has meant to all of us.
She is doing very well and still working the business end of the B&B and will
continue to do so--we hope for many years to come. We will go on taking reservations (we've had several in the past few
days) and she will continue to ooordinate weddings.

- SMOKING POLICY: For the comfort of our guests, smoking is not permitted in the house, but you are
welcome to smoke outside.
CHILDREN: Our establishment is not suitable for children under the age of 10. Parents are responsible
for any breakage or damage caused by their children. - PETS: While we
have no facilities for pets, we can arrange for boarding. Also, we hope you will enjoy our AKC Registered Sheltie, Lady Bell
Burnett.
HANDICAPPED: At the present time, we are
not handicapped accessible, as our rooms are on the second floor. However, we have plans to make these
improvements in the near future, so feel free to check back at that time.
